Tuesday 21st April

Dear Parents/ Carers,

Today, the Department of Education has released guidelines for Learning in Term 2. We have been informed that:

·       Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th April are both pupil-free days to allow staff to undertake further professional learning and planning for the delivery of online learning in Term 2.

·       As of Wednesday 29th  April school will be open for children who need to attend. Where practical, parents are encouraged to implement learning from home.

·       Learning from home will continue as it did for the last 3 weeks of last term. New units of work will be prepared and emailed to families each week.

·       From Monday 11th May, in an effort to support the continuity of learning for students, and to increase face-to-face teaching in NSW, a stage return to school model will be rolled out across Term 2. This will most likely entail students from particular grades attending on an allocated day per week. This will ensure that we are still meeting with social distancing restrictions/requirements within the classroom (as stipulated by the DoE).

Further information will be provided after the commencement of Term 2, following an address to all staff on Monday 27th April from Mark Scott, Secretary, Dept of Ed.
